Boots Riley of the Coup blew up the stage at the SCMX (soco music experience) with Galactic down in San Diego this past saturday. I had no clue he was going to treat us to another amazing performance. Last week at Rock the Bells SF the Coup was the best performance of the day as well. So, if the Coup is coming to your hood soon. Go see them! Their newest is sick so support that shit! You will not be disappointed I promise.
Galactic’s new album just came out this past tuesday as well. I haven’t heard it yet so I can offer a fair opinion. BUT they did play at least 5 new tracks from the album at SCMX, 2 each with Boots Riley and Mr. Lif and they rocked it live!

KJazz is putting on the 28th annual Long Beach Blues Festival this Labor Day weekend. They have been playing the artist a lot lately and man, its going to be sick. I’m definitely going on saturday to see buddy guy. Hope you can make it too. Support the arts!
