The Goose is here

The moment we’ve all been waiting 363 days for is here. VEGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE officially starts tonight. ZOMG.  Its going to be INSANE.   Look at this killer lineup.

Stick and Move

The grenade stick in Halo might be the most fun accomplishment in all of video games.  If you are unfamiliar, in Halo there are grenades that you can throw that literally stick to your opponent. So you throw it, it hits them and sticks to their body, then it explodes and kills them.   There is a few second delay between contact and explosion.  When successfully pulled off, it is hilarious.  You just know this person is dead and their is nothing they can do about it.  The surprise is gone.

This morning I stuck a grenade right on some poor chap’s visor, so his whole screen must have glowed blue from the grenade before it exploded. Hilarious!

From Bad To Worse

Yesterday the fog combined with the smoke from the Santiago Canyon wild fire to create the grayish red haze in the sky. That has since blown off and now we are left with just smoke which is multitudes more frightening. The smoke from the fire covers the first 30 or so feet off the ground as you look to the south from the 405 freeway. It makes you think the fire is right there and could be in your location within minutes.   They say that its about 40% contained now, depending on who you ask.   Its very troubling, I feel awful for the residents in the evacuation zone.  The worst part of it all was the cause, arson. Unreal.

The B-H

Weezer said it best when they said “Beverly Hills, thats where I want to be.”   I went to a super posh fundraiser last night at the Beverly Hills Benteley/Aston Martin dealer.  Holy cow, these people know how to live the good life!  Free cigars, port wine, single-malt scotch, appys and it was all delicious. Tips not accepted by the staff.  Bentleys, Astons, Ferraris and Lambos.  All to benefit a charity that supports wounded marines, no wonder philantropy is growing so fast in America. Its a huge tax write off. Its basically paying to party and reducing your tax bill.  Something wrong with that yes, but I’m not going to complain, its too fun.

It was a glimpse of the good life. Your boy was networking his little but off and came home with a pocketfull of business cards. Hopefully some good oportunities will spawn from this event.   The next stop on this train is undoubtedly the B-H.  Those ballers know how to ball for real.

My Bike

I was heartbroken when I woke up on Tuesday morning.  I had left my bike unattended in front of Sharkeez for the previous day and a half. I started welling up on that run down the boardwalk because I was certain that someone would have stolen it.  Fortunately when I arrived it was fine. I love that bike.

I bought a bell for it finally. You will find the same bell in a cash register. Cha-ching it goes.  Now that is a bull market move.

Good stuff

I’m so happy with my new hire.   People attract people like themselves. Thank G-d.    Now I have to find a cold fusion programmer with similar qualities. Recs??

Lighten UP

I’m trying to stop being such a worrywart. Life is good, lets enjoy it and stop worrying.   Young, healthy and fun.

Not Cool

This morning when I woke up there was a strange red glow in the room. I sat up and looked out the window to see the sun almost completely screened out by smoke and haze. I think the fires are getting closer because it looks much worse than it has previously. Not gonna lie, its really scary. Hopefully they blow passed

Fire and shit

Yes there are fires all over southern california.  Its crazy because like the sky is all full of soot and whatnot so the skies look very hazy. I am fine though. Newport has not been affected fortunately.

Can People Stop Watching Baseball

It is by far the most over-dramatized event in the US.  Who really cares what happens in baseball?  Its unwatchable.  Most fans are OLD. The game is not exciting and not attracting young people.  I wish that exciting sports would get more attention from the major networks.  There is incredible parity in the NFL and all college sports nowadays.  Time to bolster that and follow the young (marketable) fans network execs. PLEASE?!
